This is a plain-language summary of how The Great Sort handles your information. It is short because there isn't much to tell.

What we collect

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect the email address you give us, along with the page you signed up from. We don't ask for your name, your address, or any other detail unless you choose to write to us directly. Once the letter is running, we also measure the standard things any newsletter does — whether an email was opened and whether a link in it was clicked — through Buttondown, so we can tell what readers find useful.

What we don't do

We don't run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics scripts on this site. We don't sell or rent your email address to anyone.

Who processes your data

We use Buttondown to send our newsletter and store subscriber email addresses. Their privacy policy governs how they handle that data on our behalf.
